How do I setup my D-Link DPH-160 to the engin network?

Overview

Step 1: Login
  1. Obtain the IP address of the Engin Internet Phone by pressing ‘Menu’ and scroll to the ‘System Info’ page and press ‘OK’.
  2. Select ‘My IP’
  3. Press ‘OK’.
  4. Open your web browser and enter the IP address of the phone 
  5. Enter user name (admin) and your password (admin by default).
Step 2: VoIP Tab
  1. Click on Advanced tab
  2. Click the VoIP tab
Step 3:  Server Configuration

Click on 'Server Configuration'. Specify the following settings:
  • Server FQDN - Enabled
  • Domain Name - byo.engin.com.au
  • Port - 5060
  • Outbound Proxy State - Enabled
  • Outbound Proxy Server FQDN - Enabled
  • Outbound Proxy Domain Name - byo.engin.com.au
  • Outbound Proxy Port - 5060




  • Use DNS-SRV - Disabled
  • Service Domain - byo.engin.com.au
  • URL Format - SIP-URL
  • User Parameter Phone - Disabled
  • Timer T2 - 4 sec
  • Initial Unregister - Enabled
  • Register Expiration - 900 sec
  • Session Expires - 900 sec
  • Min-SE - 180 sec
  • Session Expires Refresher - uac
  • G.711a-law - 3rd - 20 ms
  • G.711u-law - 2nd - 20 ms
  • G.729a - 1st - 20 ms
  • G.726 - 4th - 20 ns
  • iLBC - not used



Click on Apply when done.

Step 4: Enter Authentication details
  • Click on VoIP and then on 'User Agent'. Specify the following setings:
  • Phone Number - < phone number provided by Engin e.g. 0282050505 >
  • Display Name - < phone number provided by Engin >
  • User Agent Port - 5060
  • Authentication Username - < phone number provided by Engin >
  • Password - < your VoIP account password >
  • Retype Password - < your VoIP account password >


Click on Apply when done.

Step 5: Reboot Your DPH-160
 
Click on Tools > Reboot and press on Reboot button. Wait until the phone restarts.
