Overview
Step 1: Login to the Netgear device
- Log in to the router via your web browser, with its default LAN address of http://192.168.0.1
- Enter the User Name of admin, and default password of password, or using whatever User Name, Password and LAN address you have chosen for the router.
Step 2: Turn Remote Management On
- From the Advanced section of the main menu, select the Remote Management
- Select the Turn Remote Management On check box.
- Specify what external addresses will be allowed to access the router’s remote management which is 59.167.198.139
- Specify the Port Number, use the default port on 8080
- Click Apply to have your changes take effect.
Step 3: Provide your public IP address
- Go to www.packetman.com.au/kb/ip.php
- Send your IP address with your username and password to the helpdesk
