I have an engin 221, how do I setup a static IP and configure port forwarding via my Asus WL series router?

Overview

Step 1: Obtain the Current IP
Step 2: Login to the engin 221 phone
Step 3: Assign the static IP
Step 4: Login to the modem
Step 5: Access Port Forwarding Menu
Step 6: Enter Port Forwarding Rules
Step 7: Disabling ALG

Step 1: Obtain the current IP address for the engin 221

1. Obtain the IP address of the Engin Internet Phone by pressing ‘Menu’ and scroll to the ‘System Info’ page and press ‘OK’.
2. Select ‘My IP’
3. Press ‘OK’.

Step 2: Login to the engin 221

1. Open a web browser (such as Internet Explorer or Safari)
2. Enter the IP address of the Engin Internet Phone into the address bar
3. You will then be prompted for a user name and password. Enter the username: admin, and password: admin
4. Once logged in, select the ‘Home’ tab from the top of the screen

Step 3: Assign the static IP address.

1. Go to Home > LAN
2. Click on the radio button for " Static IP"
   
3. Enter IP address: 192.168.1.10
4. Enter Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
5. Enter default gateway: 192.168.1.1
6. Enter Primary DNS: 192.168.1.1
7. Click Apply when you are finished.
   

Step 4: Login to your Asus WL series router

1. To access the Asus WL series router configuration screens: Open your web browser. Type the default IP address http://192.168.1.1
2. Enter in the username: admin, and password: admin

Step 5: Setup Port Forwarding

1. Select  NAT > Virtual Server
2. Click Add
   

Step 6: Enter Port Forwarding Rules

1. Enter Server Name: engin
   
2. Enter External Port Start: : 5060
3. Enter External Port End: : 5060
4. Enter Protocol : UDP
5. Enter Internal Port Start: : 5060
6. Enter Internal Port Start: : 5060
7. Enter Server IP: 192.168.1.10

Step 7: Disable ALG

1. Select  NAT > Virtual Server > ALG
   
2. Disable SIP ALG
3. Save and apply changes
