I have 5 minute dropouts with my SMC7004BRA? How do I resolve the problem?

Overview

Step 1: Login to your SMC router
Step 2: Disable the firewall
Step 3: Disable the hidden SPI firewall
Step 4: Reboot

Step 1: Login to your SMC SMC7004BRA

1. To access the Wireless Barricade’s management interface, enter the Wireless Barricade IP address in your Web browser http://192.168.2.1.
2. Then click LOGIN. (By default, there is no password.)
3. Click Advanced

Step 2: Disable the firewall

1. Go to the Firewall Menu > Security Settings
   
2. Click Disable and then Apply
   

Step 3: Disable the Hidden Firewall

1. Go to http://192.168.2.1/firewall_spi_h.stm
2. Click Disable for all options and then Apply
   

Step 4: Reboot

1. Go to Tools > Reset
2. Your 5 minute dropout issue should now be resolved.
