How do I bridge the speedstream 6520?

Reset the modem to ensure it is in default mode (refer instructions below).

Step 1: Login to the modem
  1. Type the modem's URL into the internet browser (address bar in Internet Explorer), eg for BigPond it is http://10.0.0.138
  2. Login into the modem by clicking the "Go" option at the top left of the screen where it says "Log In:"
  3. Enter the username admin: and password admin if needed
Step 2: Bridging the SS 6520
  1. Click the "ISP connection" icon and under the "Gateway Options" heading
  2. Under "DSL Connection Information" heading click "Advanced Settings" 
  3. Click "Configure the ATM Virtual Circuit" 
  4. Click under VC heading the "8/35" option.
  5. Click "Next>>" 
  6. The PPPoE option should be selected and then click "Next>>" again. 
  7. Under the heading "PPPoE Type" select the "Bridge only" option and then click "Next>". 
  8. Click "Finish"
A reboot is required before the new configuration takes effect, so click the "Reboot" icon, then click the additional "reboot" option that is displayed. DO NOT select the "Reset to factory defaults" option as this will remove all the configuration changes that have been made.
