Overview
Step 1: Login to the DIR-300
- Open your Internet Explorer and log into your router by typing in its IP address
(in most cases the default IP is http://192.168.0.1
- Specify username and password for your router, the default is `admin' and password is admin.
- After logging into the DIR-300, click manual internet setup
- And, you will be taken to the internet setup page
Step 3: Select PPPoE
encapsulation
- Select the 'PPPoE
' option in the router and enter your account details (username and password).
- Enter your 'engin dsl Username'
- Enter your 'engin dslPassword'
- Click on 'Apply'.
- The router will restart with the new setings. Recycle power to DIR-300.
Step 4: Checking connection status
- Go to Status > Device Info
- Check if the WAN
(known as your internet connection) is receiving and sending packets.
