I have an SPA-3102, how do I setup a static IP and configure port forwarding via the 2wire 2071?

Overview

Please note:  You will need to connect your PC via USB if you are planning to use the 2wire modem 2071 (signal port) ADSL modem or consider an ethernet switch. Please use the 2wire / Bigpond Setup CD to install the USB drivers.

Step 1: Find your IP
  1. Disconnect your PSTN line from the LINE socket. By the term "PSTN ", we are referring to your regular landline provider
  2. Dial **** 110 # to listen to your IP address of your SPA-3102
Step 2: Enter your IP address via the web interface
  1. Enter the IP address into your web browser
  2. Go to the WAN Setup menu
  3. Select Static IP
  4. Enter IP address : 10.0.0.3
  5. Enter Gateway Address: 10.0.0.138
  6. Enter Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
  7. Submit all changes
Step 3: Login to your 2wire 2071 modem
  1. Access the 2wire modem web configuration menu by entering 10.0.0.138 into the address bar of a web browser, and then press enter.
  2. By default there is no username or password.
Step 4: Verifying the SPA-3102 is connected
  1. Go to Home > Network
  2. The IP address of the SPA-3102 will be 10.0.0.3, or 10.0.0.1
  3. Once you have confirmed the SPA-3102 has been connected correctly go the firewall button
Step 5: Setup Port Forwarding
  1. Go to Firewall > Firewall Settings
  2. This will take you to the port forwarding menu
Step 6: Firewall Settings
  1. Click  Add new user defined application
  2. Next, you will be presented with the rules to enter.
Step 7: Creating an engin rule
  1. Enter application Name"   engin_voip"
  2. Enter Protocol UDP
  3. Enter port from: 5060
  4. Enter port to: 5061
  5. Click add Definition
Step 8: Setup ports for engin
  1. Under the same rule" engin_voip" add the following
  2. Enter Protocol UDP
  3. Enter port from: 16384
  4. Enter port to: 20384
  5. Click add Definition
 
Step 9: Selecting your user defined rule
  1. Go back to the Firewall Summary page
  2. Select the computer 10.0.0.3
  3. Click Allow Individual Applications
  4. Scroll down to "User Defined"
  5. The rule "engin_voip" will now be shown
 
Step 10: Assigning the engin rule to your SPA-3102
  1. Click Add
  2. The rule "engin_voip" will now be shown in the hosted applications column
 
Step 11: All finished
  1. Port forwarding has now been configured
  2. The rule "engin_voip" has now been allocated to 10.0.0.3
