How do I connect using PPPoE via my Linksys RT31P2 or WRT54GP2?

Overview

Step 1: Login to the Linksys router
  1. Login via http://192.168.15.1 by typing the link into your webrowser
  2. Enter your username: admin, password: admin
Step 2: Select PPPoE encapsulation
  1. Go to the setup page (first page when you have successfully logged into the router) and select the last option from the drop down menu
  2. Select the PPPoE
Step 3: Enter your Auth Details
  1. Enter your ISP username
  2. Enter your ISP password
  3. Select keep alive redial period 30 seconds.
  4. Save and reboot.



Step 4: Check router status for connection
  1. Go to Status > Router
  2. Verify if you are connected using PPPoE .
