Overview
Step 1: Obtain the current
IP address
for the engin 221
- Obtain the IP address
of the Engin Internet Phone by pressing ‘Menu’ and scroll to the ‘System Info’ page and press ‘OK’.
- Select ‘My IP’
- Press ‘OK’.
Step 2: Login to the engin 221
- Open a web browser (such as Internet Explorer or Safari)
- Enter the IP address
of the Engin Internet Phone into the address bar
- You will then be prompted for a user name and password. Enter the username: admin, and password: admin
- Once logged in, select the ‘Home’ tab from the top of the screen
Step 3: Assign the static
IP address
.
- Go to Home > LAN
- Click on the radio button for " Static IP"
- Enter IP address
: 192.168.1.10
- Enter Subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0
- Enter default gateway
: 192.168.1.254
- Enter Primary DNS: 192.168.1.254
- Click Apply when you are finished.
Step 4: Login to your Open Networks modem
- First login by going to your web browser and typing http://192.168.1.254
- enter the username: root, password 0P3N
Step 5: Setup Port Forwarding
- Go to the Advanced
- Go to Port Forwarding
Step 6: Setup a custom rule for engin
- Go to the User Tab
- Click the New Tab
Step 7: Add engin as a rule
- The Rule Management interface will appear
- Enter the Rule name as " engin"
- Enter Protocol "UDP"
- Enter Port Start "5060"
- Enter Port End" "5060"
- Enter Port Map "5060"
Step 8: Setup
RTP
ports under the same rule
- You can enter enter ports 16384-20384 under the same name as " engin" Repeat the same process of RTP
ports.
- Enter Protocol "UDP"
- Enter Port Start "16384"
- Enter Port End" "20384"
- Enter Port Map "16384"
Step 9: Setup Your LAN client (the engin voicebox IP)
- Select the LAN connection. In almost all cases this will be the default LAN group 1
- Enter the engin voicebox IP as 192.168.1.10
- Click Apply
Step 10: Configure LAN client for the engin port forwarding rule
- Go back to the "User" PF menu option
- Select the rule name "engin"
- Ensure the rule is configured to the IP address
of 192.168.1.10
- Click Apply
- Save all changes
