Overview

Note: Do not reset the power to the DG834GV if your web browser becomes unresponsive as this is an indication that the firmware update is in progress. It can take about 3 - 5 minutes for the update process to complete depending on the bandwidth of your connection.

Step 1: Login to your DG834GV
  1. Open up your web browser.
  2. Log in to the router at its default LAN address of http://192.168.0.1 with its default User Name of admin, default password of password, or using whatever User Name, Password and LAN address you have chosen for the DG834GV.
Step 2: Check your firmware version
  1. Go to router status menu
  2. Check your firmware version.
  3. You should be running V1.00.37_L

Step 3: What does the new firmware fix?
  • Added Configuration assistant
  • Improved PSTN ring through
  • Changed fail over dialtone to AU
  • Added block CID for all calls (*77/*87)
  • Unit can now be unlocked.
  • Caller ID on incoming PSTN line fixed
