Overview

This tutorial will show you the power of VoXaLot and give you some insight  into the types of logic VoXaLot can handle. Once, your SIP settings are hosted with VoXalot you can then setup your ATA to use the VoXalot service.

See KB385 for how to setup the SPA-3102 to use VoXalot.

Step 1: Setting up your VoXaLot account

Enter the following settings below to register your engin SIP settings with VoXaLot
  1.  Provider Name: : engin
  2. Username: : Your engin DID <i.e: 0280040000>
  3. Codecs: : G729;alaw
  4. Host: syd.byo.engin.com.au or mel.byo.engin.com.au
  5. Port: 5060
  6. Active: YES
  7. SIP Register: YES
  8. Optimize Audio Path: NO

Step 2: Waiting for registration to take affect
  1. Registration with VoXaLot will take about 5 minutes to take affect
  2. Once this has been done, you can then setup your dial plans and make life easier with speed dials.

Step 3: Setting up a dial plan

For this example, we are going to block Caller ID to 0425373000 by pre-pending 1831 into the dial plan. We are then going to setup a speed-dial to trigger this event by dialing **12.
  1. Enter Priority: 1
  2. Enter Patten: _0425373000
  3. Enter comment:  Block CID to 0425373000
  4. Enter Replacement: 1831$ followed by EXTEN in curly braces (as per the image)
  5. Enter Provider: engin
  6. Click Save

Step 4: Setting up your speed dial

Next, we are going to configure a speed dial to use the dial plan we configured in STEP 3.
  1. Enter Dial: 12
  2. Enter Name: Something logical
  3. Rerouter call to:  0425373000
  4. Provider: Use Smart Call
  5. Click Save
