I cannot get a dial tone with my Asus RX3041 cable router? What is the solution?

The Asus RX3041 suffers from a no dial tone issue and technical support has declared this modem as not being compatible with the engin network.
  • Enabled DMZ
  • Setup Port Forwarding
  • Disable SPI firewall  
  • Softphone failed
  • Tried different SIP port, i.e: 5070 and EXT PORT 5070 hack but that also failed.
  • Updated to lastest firmware

Firmware tested

  • v22.1.2.114  - 2007/06/15T. The latest firmware for RX3041/G The version supports English\Traditional Chinese user interface.
