Telstra Heartbeat Setup Guide for WRT54GP2 or RT31P2Why is the Telstra Cable Network different – The Telstra Cable Network uses an access method, called a Heart Beat Signal. There are several reasons for why this was implemented, one of which is that it allows you to connect and disconnect from the Internet.To enable your Linksys router to keep your Internet connection up and available all of the time, it needs to be able to support the Heartbeat signal. The router also needs to know the location of the Heartbeat server, so it needs to be configured with the IP address of the Heart Beat Server. There are 5 steps in total: Overview
