Overview

Note: The WNR834B suffers from a SIP ALG problem. The latest firmware update needs to be applied to stop the call dropouts occurring on the engin network. These dropouts generally happen in 5 , 10 or 15 minute intervals.

Step 1: Download the firmware
  1. Download the firmware from here:
  2. Save the file to your desktop. Do not open as the PC cannot read the file.
Step 2: Login to your Netgear WNR834B
  1. Open up your web browser.
  2. Log in to the router at its default LAN address of http://192.168.1.1
  3. Login with username of admin, default password of password.
Step 3: Upgrade firmware
  1. Go to Router Upgrade
  2. Upload the .bin file you saved on your desktop in step 1
  3. Dropout issue has been solved
