Overview
Step 1: Download the firmware
Step 2: Login to the TA612V
Step 3: Upgrade the firmware

This method will only work if you contact engin for the password. Please visit this article KB181 to find out if you are eligible to have your hardware unlocked for no charge and also complete the unlocking form Unlock Form

Step 1: Download the firmware from packetman
  1. Open up your web browser.
  2. Go to this URL
Step 2: Login to your Netgear TA612V
  1. Log in to the router  with http://192.168.61.1 
  2. Enter username: admin, default password of password
Step 3: Upgrade your firmware
  1. Go to http://192.168.61.1/voice/upgrade.htm
  2. Enter the username  admin and your encryption key password
  3. Upload the .bin file into your TA612v
