How do I enable QoS on the Netcomm NB5?

Overview

Step 1: Login to the Netcomm NB5
  1. To access the NB5 ADSL Router configuration screens: Open your web browser. Type the default IP address http://192.168.1.1
  2. Enter in the username: admin, and password: admin
Step 2: Enable IP QoS
  1. Click Advanced > IP QoS (If on a later firmware )
  2. Select "Enable IP QoS"
  3. Click " Add"

Step 3: Setup IP QoS
  1. Enter the Rule Name. (‘Spaces’ are invalid)
  2. The Destination IP and Destination Netmask are not necessary.
  3. Enter the VoIP hardware IP address - it could be 192.168.1.10 if using examples from this website
  4. Enter subnet mask of 255.255.255.0
  5. Change the Protocol to UDP
  6. Set Source Start Port to 5060
  7. Set Source End Port to 5061
  8. Change the Traffic Priority to High
  9. Select the Physical Port your VoIP device is connected to. In the example, it's "PORT 2"
  10. Select Maxmise "Throughput"
  11. Click Apply then Save Settings.
Step 4: Reboot
  1. Next  go to "Tools/System commands"
  2. Click on "Save All".
