I am experiencing choppy quality using an NB5540 / NB5580W?

Overview

The advanced firewall is responsible for this problem. The NB5540 / NB5580W series has an Advanced firewall which checks every Data/Voice packet twice before letting it through. You will need to disable it to improve quality.


Step 1: Login to the NB5540 / NB5580W
  1. Type http://192.168.1.1 into your Web browser (Internet Explorer or Netscape) address field then press enter.
  2. The “Username and Password Required” prompt box will appear. Leave the “User Name” empty and type “admin” (default password) for the “Password”. Click OK”. The setup screen will load.
Step 2: Disable the Advanced Firewall
  1. Go to the "Firewall Settings" menu then click Advanced Firewall
  2. Disable this option
  3. Save and reboot your changes.
