Overview

Step 1: Download the firmware
  1. Start your web browser and download the firmware from packetman. The new firmware for the WNR3500 has a 5 minute dropout issue and the firmware needs to be backdated to resolve the problem.
  2. The direct URL is here:
Step 2: Login to your Netgear WNR3500
  1. Start your web browser and type the private IP address of the Router in the URL field: http://192.168.1.1
  2. By default, the username is admin and the password is password.
Step 3: Upgrade the firmware
  1. Go the Router Upgrade > Upload the firmare file you saved in step 1
  2.  Firmware should now load and the 5 minute dropout issue should be fixed.
